Embarrassing...I think yes!

People do crazy embarrassing things to get page views, whether it's on youtube, or even here on blogspot. Do I think I am above them? No, on the quite contrary. I think I will join them. I will now write about something so embarrassing, I will not be able to show my face in my hometown for another 8 months...AT LEAST!!!

Peace in Chaos

Peace, Joy, Love,

Aren't these the things you want when things all around the world are so chaotic?
Scriptures give us hope, that even when things get so crazy, and there is no way things will work out.
There is a path of peace. Tranquility, and serenity can enter your life, no matter what your situation is.

Peace, I leave with you. My peace, I give unto you...Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 14:27

I have felt this peace in my life. It has healed wounds in my heart, helped me grow, and overcome a lot.
It has given me great hope in great things to come. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior.
I know he suffered and died to bring all of us these wonderful gifts.

Peace, Joy, Love,

The Fellowship of the Unashamed

I am part of the fellowship of the unashamed.
The dye has been cast. I have stepped over the line.
The decision has been made; I am a disciple of Jesus Christ.
I won't look back, let up, slow down, or be still.
My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, and my future is secure.
I'm finished and done with low living, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tinted visions, worldly talking, cheap giving, and dwarfed goals.
I no longer need pre-eminence, positions, promotions, plaudits, or popularity.
I don't have to be right, first recognized, praised, regarded, or rewarded.
I now live by faith, lean on His presence, walk with patience, am lifted up in prayer, and labor with power. My face is set, my goal is heaven.
My road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions few, my guide is reliable, my mission is clear.
I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, divided or delayed.
I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of the adversary, negotiate at the table with the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity.
I won't give up, shut up, or let up until I have stayed up, stored up, and paid up for the cause of Christ.
I must go till He comes, give till I drop, preach 'till all know, and work till He stops me and when He returns for His own He will have no problem recognizing me-for it is His banner that I carry.

A Missionary in Sendai, Japan tells what happened.

"Come unto me all ye that labor, and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
Matthew 11:28

Elder Conan Grames, a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving with his wife, Cindy, in Japan, spoke with Utah and national journalists today about his experience during the recent earthquake in Japan.

United we Stand, Divided we Fall

What happens when faiths fight?
Why do people belittle others' beliefs?
When did God command us to hate our enemies, and do evil to those that hate us, and spitefully use us?

A 'New' Miracle

One of the newest miracles on this Earth is in the arms of my big Sister.

A beautiful, precious soul, sent to this world to start his journey.
Life is amazing. Be grateful for yours, and live your life the best you can!
2 Nephi 2:25 "Adam fell that men might be; and men are that they might have joy!"

It's NOT Too Hard

Guest Post: Elder Miller

As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we strive to have faith in Jesus Christ and to trust Him.  If we are striving to have faith, then there must be a lot of opposition to keep us from constantly having that faith, right?  There is opposition to our faith, but the only way that opposition can win is if we forget what Christ has done for us and the many great miracles He has performed.

Jesus taught the importance of His works to a group of Jews when he said,"....the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me........If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.  But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that you may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him."  (John 10: 25 & 37-38)

Must we see the works of Christ to believe that He is the Son of God?.....we shouldn't have to..., but if we are believing, then the Spirit of God will testify to our hearts and minds that He is the Christ, our Savior, and that we are doing good.  We need to "search diligently, pray always, and be believing, and all things shall work together for [our] good." (Doctrine and Covenants 90:24)  That is a promise that we need to trust in.  It's not simply good enough to just believe, we must also act by searching diligently and praying always.  These actions, along with our belief in Christ, are a team and need to work together as a team to strengthen our faith.  Then we will not need to rely on miracles to believe in Christ because we will see changes, or miracles, happening within us.  Trust in Him, and "know that [He is] God." (Doctrine and Covenants 101:16)
